Rock For Reading Benefit: An Evening With Alice Peacock
Rock for Reading is a not-for-profit literacy organization founded by Alice Peacock in 2004. Since its inception, Rock for Reading has given away the equivalent of over $1,000,000 through a combination of monetary grants and the dollar value of the books donated. Peacock is an American folk singer-songwriter from White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Her music has been featured on various film and television soundtracks.

Lucy Kaplansky

Lucy Kaplansky, a folk-music veteran who was once a clinical psychiatrist, has a fetching voice and an insightful perspective on the human condition. She lives up to her reputation, displaying her lovely, moving voice in collaborations with Shawn Colvin, Suzanne Vega, Richard Shindell, and Dar Williams. Based out of New York City but originally from Chicago, Kaplansky returns to her hometown on her journey to becoming the "troubadour laureate of modern city folk" (The Boston Globe).

Don Ross and Brooke Miller
Canadian fingerstyle guitarist Don Ross, known for the emotion and intensity of his playing as well as his use of extended technique, borrows from rock, jazz, folk, and classical music, creating a style he describes as "heavy wood." Ross's wife, musician Brooke Miller, the daughter of eclectic artists and musicians, contributes her wide-range of musical talent to the fray, combining her love for finger-picking and even jazz.
