The Tabasko Sound Kitchen is a midwest band performing blues, soul, and funky groove oriented rock covers and originals.

Comprised of seasoned musicians with years of experience performing and recording, TSK features the one-of-a-kind lead vocals of Miss Katie Gosa. Yet to reach her 30th birthday, Katie possesses the voice of a mature blues singer. Influences of Susan Tedeschi, Bonnie Raitt, Aretha Franklin, Alanis Morisette, and Janis Joplin all are evident.

The well-honed blues and soul guitar stylings of David Salzman (8 Miles South, The Chicago Diamonds) and the at once scorching yet tasty blues-rock playing of lead guitarist Don Laferty (Kevin Purcell & The Nightburners) work together to build the dynamic framework of the TSK sound. The rhythm section of drummer Andrew “Blaze” Thomas (Ana Popovic, Shawn Kellerman), and bassist Jamie Martinez (Stephanie Rogers Band, Damian Rice) provide a steady, unfaltering deep pocket groove. Touring keyboard players Roosevelt “Hatter” Purifoy, a perennial force in the Chicago blues scene, Bill LeClair (8 Miles South, Wayne Baker Brooks) or Steve Barans complete TSK’s unique blend of talents. 

Weaving its way in and out of blues, rock, soul, R&B and funk, TSK gives the listener a finely crafted potpourri of sound that pays tribute to all of these fantastic styles of American music!
