Cameron McGill

Songwriter Cameron McGill has been carving out a place for himself over the years through relentless touring and a growing list of self-released albums. His fifth and most recent release, 2011's Is A Beast (Post-Important), found him reaching beyond past recordings to explore a more orchestral approach to his compositions. The band recently taped sessions with Chicago's JBTV, Daytrotter and The Denver Post's Hey Reverb. Is A Beast also received a re-release in the EU via Bertus Distribution in May of 2011. 2009 saw McGill joining the band Margot & the Nuclear So and So's, for which he plays keyboards. The year prior he was featured on Margot's Animal! and Rachael Yamagata's Elephants...Teeth Sinking Into Heart. He is currently at work on his first collection of poetry as well as a new solo album, due out in the coming year. When not on tour, he can
be found singing for his supper in Chicago.
